Description
Steadfast Records presents the long-awaited physical reissues of Brandtson’s landmark 2004 album Send Us A Signal, available on both limited edition vinyl and cassette. Originally released on The Militia Group, this was the Cleveland emo quartet’s breakthrough moment, their seventh release overall and first album recorded with extended studio time and budget. Produced by Ed Rose at Black Lodge Recording in Kansas, the album showcased Brandtson at their creative peak, balancing raw emotional intensity with melodic sophistication that earned comparisons to Jimmy Eat World and The Get Up Kids. Founding members Myk Porter, Matt Traxler, John Sayre, and Jared Jolley delivered their most diverse work yet, featuring crunchy guitar anthems, heartfelt ballads, and signature dual-vocal harmonies. This expanded edition features a special 13th bonus track, Little Birds & Spiders, which was left off the original 2004 release. Standout tracks include the explosive opener Who Are You Now?, the emotionally devastating Drawing A Line In The Sand, and the re-recorded classic Blindspot. Formed in 1996, the group released albums on Steadfast, Deep Elm, and The Militia Group before disbanding in 2006. The limited vinyl edition is housed in a reverse board jacket and includes a 2-sided 12×12 insert, a full-color 24-page zine with a new band interview and track commentary, and is available on Red Smoke vinyl (limited to 250 copies). The cassette edition is manufactured in a windowless aqua blue cassette shell. Essential for fans of mid-2000s emo and guitar-driven indie rock.
