Description

Source Code is Nova Koloso’s most expansive and conceptually ambitious album to date. Across seven interconnected songs, the Baltimore progressive psych band explores themes of artificial intelligence, accelerating environmental collapse, the seductive pull of authoritarian movements, and the consequences of our own technological ambitions. Massive riff-driven compositions are woven together with lush psychedelic textures, dynamic arrangements, and progressive songcraft that shift seamlessly between crushing heaviness and atmospheric reflection. Rather than presenting simple answers, the album invites listeners to consider the choices shaping our collective future and the increasingly blurred boundary between human consciousness and the technologies we create. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Elder, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, King Buffalo, Gong, and Queens of the Stone Age, Source Code delivers an immersive listening experience that combines thought-provoking themes with adventurous musicianship, cinematic production, and some of Nova Koloso’s most powerful songwriting to date.
