Worldsucks | Scorn for the U.S.A.

Description

“The hardcore punk band Worldsucks delivers a blistering sonic assault with Scorn for the U.S.A., a raw, uncompromising record that targets institutional corruption, hyper-capitalism, and socio-political apathy. Stripping away modern production sheen, the album relies on visceral, jagged guitar riffs, relentless d-beat drumming, and feral, throat-shredding vocals to channel a deep-seated frustration with the modern American landscape.
Lyrically, the album pulls no punches. It systematically tears down superficial patriotism, exposing the underbelly of corporate greed and systemic inequality. Rather than offering passive critique, tracks hit like localized shockwaves, combining the politically charged rage of early 80s hardcore with a contemporary, localized urgency. The songwriting explores new territory for the band, exploding into existence, making their point with blunt-force trauma, and collapsing into chaotic feedback. Scorn for the U.S.A. isn’t designed for casual listening. It is a confrontational, high-velocity mirror held up to a fracturing society, serving as a rallying cry for the disillusioned and a reminder of punk’s roots as an aggressive, counter-cultural force.”
