M.A.C.E. vs. Trash Diva is a compelling live split LP that captures the raw energy of hardcore, queercore, and transpunk music from two politically charged bands based in Orlando, FL, and Baltimore, MD. This release is a true reflection of their sound. It was recorded live in community spaces without any studio alterations. As a result, listeners experience the performances’ authenticity.

The LP showcases the urgent and unapologetic messages of both bands. M.A.C.E. boldly challenges patriarchy, advocates for bodily autonomy, and promotes queer liberation while taking a stand against systemic misogyny. Their performances transform the stage into a platform for resistance. Moreover, they address critical issues such as gender-based oppression and attacks on reproductive rights directly in front of an audience.

Similarly, Trash Diva emphasizes the importance of centering queer and trans voices, confronting social control, and challenging gender norms. Their set is characterized by a raw, confrontational style. In addition, it rejects the notion that marginalized voices should dilute their message for broader acceptance.

Both M.A.C.E. and Trash Diva are committed advocates for women’s rights, LGBTQIA+ liberation, and the protection of marginalized communities, as evidenced by their lineups and performances. These recordings serve as an important documentation of their efforts to create inclusive spaces, amplify underrepresented voices, and defy silence amid political hostility.

Pressed on milky-clear vinyl and limited to just 200 copies, this DCxPC Live release captures a significant moment in the underground music scene. Here, community, confrontation, and solidarity are powerful, intentional, and unfiltered.
