Formed in December 2012, SPIT is the hardcorepunk outfit featuring brothers Yotam Ben Horin (Useless ID) aka Tommy Gunn on guitar and Nadav Ben horin aka Fred Damage (Mondo Gecko) on vocals along with Corey Ben Yehuda (Kids Insane) on drums and Nadav “Mr. Furious” Rotem (Bass). The initial idea was to form a band that takes influences from old school 80’s punk bands (Minor threat, Black Flag, D.R.I) and meld it in with later influences (Kid Dynamite, Paint it black) the result: 18 songs in 17 minutes. SPIT’s debut album “Poison in your head” was recorded in Israel, mixed by J Robbins (Jawbox, Burning airlines…hell, he was in Government Issue) and mastered by Dan Coutant. SPIT’s live shows have been numbered till now mostly in the local Israeli scene but have all been furious, blasting and energetic. The show usually ends with lead singer Fred’s microphone chord strapped around his neck and his head in the kick drum. SPIT’s music is fast, energetic, destructive and dealing with issues such as society, politics and how the world went completely wrong. SPIT is currently gearing up for the release of their debut album “Poison in your head” in hopes of touring all over the world.
